NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENTAND CREATION ORDERS HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 118, SECTION 26 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 -

THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL POTTERNE 103 (PART) EXTINGUISHMENT AND CREATION AND DEFINITIVE

MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2017

On 28 February 2017, Wiltshire Council confirmed the above orders made under Section 118 and 26 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the orders as confirmed is to extinguish the public footpath running from OSGR ST 9856-5937, in a broadly east direction for approximately 144m to OSGR ST 9870-5936, at its junction with Whistley Lane and to create a public footpath from OSGR ST 9856-5937, leading broadly east-north-east for approximately 125m to its junction with Whistley Lane, having a width of 2m, as shown on the order maps. If confirmed the orders will also have the effect of modifying the Devizes Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1952 accordingly. A copy of the orders as confirmed and the order maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Rights of Way and Countryside Section, Waste and Environment, Wiltshire Council, Unit 9, Ascot Court, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 0XA from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5.

The orders comes into force on 28 February 2017, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from Thursday 9 March 2017, make an application to the High Court.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Traffic Management Act 2004 The County of Wiltshire (Devizes) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2009 (Amendment No. 9) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in the Devizes Consolidation Order 2009 by revoking Map Schedule No EH53 dated 4 December 2009 and replacing it by the insertion of revised Map Schedule No EH53 the effect of which will be to extend existing No Waiting at anytime on Avon Road - east side - from a point 27 metres south of its junction with Bath Road for a distance of 29 metres in a south then easterly direction. Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Devizes Library, Sheep Street, Devizes during the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm Wednesday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 4pm Saturday until 3 April 2017. Documents can also be viewed online atwww.wiltshire.gov.uk/troconsultations.htm. Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made should be sent in writing or via the website to reach the Sustainable Transport Group by 3 April 2017 quoting reference LJB/TRO/DEVI9.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:Footpath 2 (Part), Burbage; from a point approximately 45m south of its junction with Suthmere Drive in a southerly direction to its junction with Footpath 5, Burbage to enable housing development work to be undertaken. Alternative route via Eastcourt Road - Suthmere Drive or High Street - Suthmere Drive. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic

signs. This Order will come into operation on 13 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for six months. The Order will have a maximum duration of six months. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) C138 The Street (Part), Cherhill; for a distance of approximately 25m outside property no. 3 to enable Wessex Water to complete a service repair. Alternative route via UC Park Lane - UC The Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 3 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 5 April 2017. For further information please contact Matthew Coles (Wessex Water) on 0345 600 4 600; (b) Back Lane (Part), Marlborough; for a distance of approximately 50m outside property 'Killycoonagh' to enable Thames Water to carry out installation of a new water supply. Alternative route via Back Lane (unaffected length) - Hyde Lane - Cardigan Road - Cross Lane -Back Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 3 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily until 7 April 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works: (c) C172 (Part), Yatton Keynell and Castle Combe; from its junction with B4039 Combe Leys, via Brooms Farm to its junction with C86 The Street. Alternative route via C86 The Street - B4039 Kent's Bottom/Combe Leys and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 31 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 6 April 2017; (d) C172 Stanton Lane/Kington Lane, Kington St. Michael and Stanton St. Quintin; from its junction with C154 Honey Knob Hill to its junction with | C72 Stanton St. Quintin. Alternative route via C154 Honey Knob Hill - UC Road to Wood Barn Hill - C72 Stanton St. Quintin and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 3 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 7 April 2017; (e) Priory Farm Lane (Grove Lane to Honey Knob Hill), Kington St. Michael; from its junction with C172 Grove Lane to its junction with C154 Honey Knob Hill. Alternative route via C172 Grove Lane - C154 Honey Knob Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 3 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 7 April 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works: (f) Fosse Road, Brokenborough; from its junction with C89 Brokenborough Road to the county boundary. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order will come into operation on 10 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 21 March 2017. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Orders (a) to (f) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works: (g) Hallsfield, Cricklade; from its junction with West Mill Lane for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order which previously came into operation on 22 February 2017 will now recommence on 14 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 20 March 2017; (h) B4040 (Part) Brook Hill/High Street/ Church Street/Easton Town, Sherston; from a point approximately 70m west of its junction with Grove Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 2.2km (to a point adjacent to Pinkney Mill, Pinkney). Alternative route via B4040 Luckington Road/Sherston Road/The Street -Acton Turville - C71 - A46 - A433 - B4014 (Malmesbury) -C68 Tetbury Hill/Gloucester Road - B4040 Bristol Road/Bransdown Hill/Easton Town (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 6 February 2017 will now recommence on 16 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 22 March 2017. Orders (g) to (h) have a maximum duration of 18 months. For further information regarding closures (c) to (h) please contact Steve Hawkins (Eurovia) on 07834503477.
