ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)(a) THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (SALISBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) has made an Order on the A36 trunk road in Salisbury in the County of Wiltshire to allow resurfacing, road markings, loop cutting, site surveys and associated maintenance work to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take place overnight (8.00pm to 6.00am) on or after 23 October 2017 and be completed by 11 November 2017. The effect of the Order will be to close the A36 northbound and southbound between:
(a) St. Paul's Roundabout and College Roundabout;
(b) College Roundabout and Clarendon Road, Alderbury.
During the closure described at (a) above, traffic will be diverted via the A3094 Netherhampton Road and the A338.
During the closure described at (b) above, traffic will be diverted via the A3094 Netherhampton Road, A338, A31, M27 and A36. Traffic that is prohibited from the motorway will be diverted viatheA31 Romsey Road. Access to and from premises that are accessible from and only from the A36 will be maintained during the works.
The closures (which will not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles) and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works. The Order will come into force on 21 October 2017 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
