The following planning applications are those affecting the setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view on our website. Views relating to the planning applications listed below should be made by 15/03/2018 quoting the reference number. All views expressed regarding a planning application will be considered and placed on a file, which is open to the public.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

2. The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Great Wishford and South Newton) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2018 (Previously advertised as 2016)



Notice is hereby given that on 13 February 2018 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Great Wishford and South Newton) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2016 and re-eact it, in part in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on C10 Langford Road - from its junction with C283 West Street to a point 120 metres north west of its junction with Bonham Close; C10 Station Road - from a point 60 metres south of its junction with Kingsmead to iys junction with C283 West Street; C283 South Street - from its junction with C10 Station Road to its junction with C283 West Street (including spur); C283 West Street - from a point 93 metres east of its eastern junction with C283 South Street to its junction with Grovely Road; Bonham Close and Kingsmead - the complete lengths; Grovely Road - from its junction with C283 West Street for a distance of 80 metres in a westerly direction. A copy of the Orders and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 26 February 2018.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce a One-Way traffic restriction on the following length of road in the direction specified: West Street (Part), Great Wishford and South Newton;

westbound only from its junction with A36 for a distance of approximately 240m. To enable: Ringway to carry out bridge retaining wall reconstruction works.

Nothing in this Order shall apply so as to prevent any person from causing or permitting any vehicle that is a school bus from entering the length of road specified. The restriction will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2018 and it is anticipated that the restriction will be required for six weeks. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) A354 (Part) Coombe Road/Salisbury Road, Britford and Coombe Bissett; from its junction with Homington Road to its junction with Stratford Tony Road to enable Tarmac to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, high friction surfacing and road markings. Alternative route via A354 (unaffected length) - A350 - A31 - A338 - A354 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 March 2018. It is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day on 19 March 2018 between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, and again for one day on 26 March 2018 between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30. Alternative route via Bulford Road (unaffected length) - Bulford Droveway - Milston Road - Salisbury Road - A3028 -Amesbury Road - Bulford Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 15 April 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (c) Elcombe Lane (Part), Alvediston; from its junction with C12 Crook Hill, Alvediston for a distance of approximately 710m in a southerly direction to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 27 February 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 28 February 2018; (d) Westwood Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Olivier Close to its junction with Rawlence Road; (e) Rawlence Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Westwood Road to its junction with Winding Way to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings. Alternative route via Olivier Close The Valley - Woodside Road - Rawlence Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 February 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 6 March 2018. For further information regarding closures (c), (d) and (e) please contact Steve Hawkins (Eurovia) on 07834503477; (f) C12 Elm Tree Farm Lane, Nunton, Odstock; from its junction with A338 Bodenham Dual Carriageway in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 560m to enable C&G Tarmac Surfacing Ltd to undertake works to plane and relay the road surface on behalf of Alexander Associates. Alternative route via A338 - C12 Nunton Village and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 February 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (g) C56 Portway (Part), Laverstock and Ford; from its junction with Old Sarum Park for a distance of approximately 350m in a north-easterly direction to a point adjacent Throgmorton Hall to enable Wiltshire Council to undertake construction work for a shared use path. Alternative route via C56 Portway (unaffected length) - C292 High Post - A345 - C56 Portway (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order, which previously came into operation on 13 November 2017, will now recommence on 24 February 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 7.30 - 17.00 for two days.
