Notice is hereby given that the footpath created in the above order has been certified as acceptable by Wiltshire Council and will become a footpath maintainable at public expense from 01 March 2018.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 118 THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL STRATFORD SUB CASTLE FOOTPATH LINKING SALISBURY 24 WITH SALISBURY 6

EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2016

On 13 February 2018 an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 with a modification to the title of the order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish a length of footpath close to footpath 6 north east of Stratford Road leading from OS Grid ref. SU 1320 3248 to OS Grid ref SU 1338 3223 width 2 metres approx. length 323 metres. A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Rights of Way and Countryside Section, Waste and Environment, Wiltshire Council, Unit 9, Ascot Court, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 0XA from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5:00. The order comes into force on 13 February 2018, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 01 March 2018, make an application to the High Court.

On 13 February 2018 an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 with modification to the statement description of the direction of travel of the new right of way. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of footpath 6 from its junction with Salisbury path no. 24 at Dairy Cottage leading in a north westerly direction to OS Grid reference SU 1320 3248 (width 2 metres to 2.14 metres approx length 321 metres) to a path leading from OS Grid ref. SU 1339 3223 leading in a north westerly and northerly direction to OS Grid reference SU 1320 3248, width 3 metres, approx length 326 metres, and to change the City of Salisbury Area definitive map and statement dated 1953 as modified by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 accordingly. A copy of the confirmed order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Rights of Way, Unit 9, Ascot Court, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, BA14 0XA 0900 - 1700 on week days. The order comes into force upon the certification of the new route, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 01 March 2018 make an application to the High Court.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) C309 Tokes Lane/ Kinghay, Sedgehill & Semley and West Tisbury; from its junction with C62 Semley Common to its junction with C302 West Gate Lodge to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway reconstruction, resurfacing, and road markings. Alternative route via C302 Beacon Hill/Fonthill - High Street, Hindon - B3089 Angel Lane - Sheephouse Lane - A350 -C62 Semley Common and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 3 April 2018. This Order will come into operation on 29 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for two days between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30. This Order will come into operation on 26 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 28 March 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings: (d) South Lane, Nomansland, Landford; from its junction with North Lane to its junction with Forest Road. Alternative route via North Lane - Forest Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 7 March 2018; (e) A345 (Part) Netheravon Road, Durrington/Figheldean; from its junction with Clover Lane to its junction with High Street. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) - A342 - A338 - A303 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 7 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 9 March 2018; (f) C336 (Part) Witherington Road/Barford Lane, Alderbury and Downton; from its junction with Tunnel Hill to its junction with B3080 High Street/Lode Hill. Alternative route via Shute End - Southampton Road - A36 - A338 - B3080 The Borough/High Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 6 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 8 March 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (g) UC Middledean (Part), Split Roads to A30, Swallowcliffe; from its junction with A30 in a north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 60m; and from its junction with A30 in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 40m (adjacent Old Post Office Cottage) to enable Wessex Water to carry out mains replacement works. Alternative route via UC Middledean (unaffected length) - Loders Lane - Barbers Lane - A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until

(Part), Tisbury; from its junction with Grosvenor Drive for a distance of approximately of 220m in a north-westerly direction to enable BT Openreach to undertake work on overhead structure. Alternative route via Hindon Lane (unaffected length) - High Street - Vicarage Road - Tuckingmill - Hatch Lane - Windlestraw Lane - C43 (Oddford Brook to Tisbury Lodge) - Hindon Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30 for two days. For further information please contact A-Plant Lux (on behalf of BT Openreach) on 03700500792. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are possible due to the nature of some of the works. The Orders will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
