The following planning applications are those affecting the
setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public
Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view
on our website. Views relating to the planning applications
listed below should be made by 19/04/2018 quoting the
reference number. All views expressed regarding a planning
application will be considered and placed on a file, which is
open to the public.

Notice of Confirmation - Public Path Order and
Definitive Map Modification Order Town and Country
Planning Act 1990 Sections 257 and Paragraph 1 of
Schedule 14 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Section 53A
THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL FOOTPATHS CHIPPENHAM
28 AND 29 AND LANGLEY BURRELL FOOTPATHS
28 AND 36 DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2018
The named Order was confirmed on 22nd March 2018.
The effect of the Order, confirmed as made is to divert part of
footpath CHIP28,LBUR28,LBUR36 and the whole of CHIP29,
a total of up to 326 metres of footpath, north of Hill Corner
Road, Chippenham. An alternative length of footpath will
be created from Hill Corner Road, Chippenham leading
in a northerly then broadly easterly direction for a total of
approximately 340 metres (width 3 metres). The Calne
and Chippenham Rural District Council area definitive map
and statement dated 1953 will be amended accordingly.
The diversion is necessary to enable development relating
to planning application 17/05149/REM and 17/07413/REM
to proceed. A copy of the Order and the Order Map have
been placed, and may be seen free of charge, at the Rights of
Way Section, Wiltshire Council, Ascot Court, Trowbridge,
BA14 0XA during normal office hours. Copies of the Order
and map may be bought there at a price of £5. If you have

22nd March 2018, but if any person aggrieved by the
Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision
contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers
of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of the
Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied
with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she
may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under
section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within
6 weeks from the 29th March 2018 as required by paragraph
7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE
ACT 1981 WILTSHIRE COUNCIL The Wiltshire
Council Parish of Clyffe Pypard Paths no. 17 and 22
Diversion Order and Definitive Map and Statement
Modification Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the footpaths created in the above
order have been certified as acceptable by Wiltshire Council
and will become footpaths maintainable at public expense
from 15 March 2018.
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an
Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph Speed Limit on the
following lengths of road: (a) B4040 Malmesbury Road
(Part), Leigh; for a distance of approximately 200m either
side of its junction with B4696 Leighfield Farm Crossroads;
(b) B4696 (Part), Leigh; for a distance of approximately
200m either side of its junction with B4040 Malmesbury
Road to enable safe movement of Ringway construction plant
apparatus. The restriction will be clearly indicated by
traffic signs. The restriction, which follows an emergency
notice, will come into effect on 2 April 2018 and it is
anticipated that the restriction will remain in place until
13 April 2018. The Order will have a maximum duration of

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make
Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Brook Street
(Part), Great Bedwyn; for a distance of approximately 50m
either side of the railway bridge to enable Balfour Beatty to
undertake works to powder coat palisade fencing. Alternative
route via Brook Street (unaffected length) – Jockey Green –
Oxenwood Road – A338 – High Street, Burbage – Savernake
Road – Durley – Bedwyn Common – Forest Hill and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 25 April 2018 and it is
anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours
of 21.00 and 06.00 until 27 April 2018. For further information

03700500792; (b) Avon Road (Part), Devizes; from its
junction with A361 Bath Road for a distance of approximately
50m in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry
out sewer repair works. Alternative route via A361 Bath Road –
Beauclerc Street – Avon Road (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 26 April 2018 and it is
anticipated that the closure will be required until 4 May 2018.

Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (c)
C33 Grittleton Road, Hullavington; from its junction with
C72 Stanton Park to its junction with The Parklands to enable
Kier Construction to undertake works to install foul main to the
new Dyson site. Alternative route via C72 Stanton Park – A429 –
C1 Hullavington – C33 The Street and vice versa. This Order
will come into operation on 2 April 2018 and it is anticipated
that the closure will be required until 15 April 2018. For further

on 07967575488; (d) B3052 George Lane, Marlborough;
from its junction with Pewsey Road to its junction with A346
Salisbury Road to enable Tarmac to undertake works for
carriageway reconstruction and associated works including road
markings and ironworks. Alternative route via Pewsey Road – A4 –
A346 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on
3 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required
daily between the hours of 07.00 and 19.00 until 11 April 2018.

of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council
has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (e) A342
Nursteed Road (Part), Devizes; from its junction with A361
to its junction with Windsor Drive to enable Tarmac to carry
out carriageway resurfacing and maintenance works. Alternative
route via Windsor Drive – A361 and vice versa. This Order,
which previously came into operation on 23 February 2018,
will now recommence on 4 April 2018 and it is anticipated
that the closure will be required for one night between the
hours of 19.00 and midnight. For further information please

Chequers Roundabout (Part), Bath Road, Chippenham
Without/Chippenham; from its junction with A350 West
Cepen Way southbound carriageway to its junction with A350
West Cepen Way northbound carriageway to enable Wiltshire
Council to carry out A350 Chippenham highways improvement
scheme works. Alternative route via A350 northbound – A350
southbound and vice versa. This Order, which previously came
into operation on 6 November 2017, will now recommence
on 3 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be
required for four days. For further information please contact

to (f) have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures
and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic
signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated
durations to complete depending upon weather conditions.
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where
possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of some
of the works.
