BOURNEMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL Bath Road Northbound Closure & Additional Restrictions – Gas Works TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of
the Borough of Bournemouth intends to make
temporary traffic regulations, with the effects
detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT & WHERE:
BATH ROAD NORTHBOUND – road closed to all
vehicles (remains open to southbound traffic)
from the Pavillion car park to its junction with
Upper Hinton Road
RUSSELL COTES ROAD – road closed to all
vehicles at its junction with Bath Road (no
access to or from Bath Road)
HINTON ROAD – road closed to all vehicles at
its junction with Bath Road (no access to Bath
Road) and suspension of one-way traffic order
to allow for two-way traffic from the closure
point at Bath Road to its junction with Upper
Hinton Road
UPPER HINTON ROAD – prohibition of northwest
bound traffic (one-way south-east bound
traffic only) for its entire length
WESTOVER ROAD – no stopping at any time
except buses on the western side of Westover
Road adjacent to the Gardens, for a distance of
approximately 55 metres from the southern end
of the police bay to the extended boundary of
property Nos. 11/12 (suspension of police bay
and part of taxi rank for temporary relocation
of bus stops)
WESTOVER ROAD – waiting prohibited at
any time except hackney carriages on the
eastern side of Westover Road, for a distance
of 40 metres outside property Nos. 9 to 18
(suspension of payment parking place for
temporary relocation of taxi rank)
WHY: Gas utility works by SGN – relaying of
gas mains on Bath road.
WHEN: Anticipated dates 6th May 2018 until
15th June 2018.
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will
be maintained, access to properties will remain
depending on site safety.
DIVERSION: For Bath Road Northbound traffic:
Priory Road, West Cliff Road, Durley Road
South, Durley Chine Road, Cambridge Road,
Wessex Way, St Paul’s Road, Holdenhurst Road,
St Swithun’s Road South and Gervis Road
For Russell Cotes Road: East Overcliff Drive,
Meyrick Road and Gervis Road
