NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Definitive Map and Statement for the Warminster and Westbury Rural District Council Area dated 1953 as Modified under the Provisions of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 The Wiltshire Council Great Hinton Path No. 34 Rights of Way Modification Order 2016

On 13 June 2018 an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed with modification the above Order made under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The above Order, made on 25 August 2016 was confirmed with modification and will modify the definitive statement for the area by recording the width of Great Hinton path no. 34 (Bleet Lane) as having a width as shown by red hatching taken from the Second Edition 1885 survey, 1899 revision, 1901 publication Ordnance Survey Map. The map is attached to the Order. A copy of the Order and the Order maps may be seen free of charge at Unit 9, Ascot Court, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, BA14 0XA on weekdays 0900 -1700. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5. The Order becomes operative as from 13 June 2018 but if any person is aggrieved by the Order and desires to question the validity on the ground that it is not within the powers of section 53 or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 have not been complied with in relation to it, he may within 42 days from 29 June 2018 make an application under paragraph 12 (1) of Schedule 15 to the 1981 Act, to the High Court.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Nos. 3 and 4 under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: No. 1 - To revoke The county of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Melksham and Melksham Without) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2010 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on Pathfinder Way -from its roundabout junction with Western Way for a distance of 331 metres in a southerly direction; No.2 - To introduce a 40mph speed limit on A365 Western Way - from a point 105 metres west of its roundabout junction with Pathfinder Way/Spa Road for a distance of 168 metres in a westerly direction; No.3 - To introduce the installation of a "PUFFIN" (Pedestrian User-Friendly Intelligent) Crossing, a form of traffic signal-controlled crossing in A365 Western Way at a point 132 metres west of its roundabout junction with Spa Road; No.4 - To introduce the installation of "TOUCAN" Crossings (an un-segregated crossing for pedestrians and cyclists) in A365 Bath Road (east and westbound carriageways) - at a point 22 metres south east of its roundabout junction with Spa Road; A365 Bath Road -at a point 236 metres south east of its roundabout junction with Spa Road; Pathfinder Way (staggered crossing) - at a point 113 metres south of its roundabout junction with Spa Road. As part of this project a Bus Stop Clearway will also be introduced on Pathfinder Way - east side - at a point 140 metres south east of its roundabout junction with Spa Road; Pathfinder Way west side - at a point 170 metres south east of its roundabout junction with Spa Road. Copies of the draft Orders, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Melksham Library, Lowbourne, Melksham between the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 4pm Saturday until 23 July 2018. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Crowe Hill (Part), Limpley Stoke; from a point level with property no. 21 for a distance of approximately 80m in a northerly direction to enable BT Openreach to undertake work to change a pole. Alternative route via Church Lane - A36 - Lower Stoke - Crowe Hill (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (b) A4 Bath Road (Part), Chippenham Without and Chippenham; from its junction with Chippenham Road/Chequers Roundabout to its junction with Methuen Park to enable Ringway to undertake works as part of the A350 highway improvement scheme around Chippenham. Alternative route via A4 (unaffected length) - B4643 - A350 - A365 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 2 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required nightly between the hours of 20.00 and

06.00 until 14 July 2018. Alternative route via A3102 (unaffected length) - Eastern Way - Melksham Relief Road - Snowberry Lane - Spa Road - A365 - A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 1 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day. Alternative route via Moor Green - Moor Barton - Leafield Road - Leafield Way - Upper Potley (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 2 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 16 July 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (f) C155 (Part) Hither Way/The Wharf/Bowden Hill, Lacock and Calne Without; from its junction with Melksham Road to its junction with A342 Sandy Lane to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings. Alternative route via Melksham Road - A350 - A3102 - A342 and vice versa. This Order, which previously came into operation on 20 February 2018, will now recommence on 2 July 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 4 July 2018. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of some of the works.
