Tom Leaman is a senior reporter at the Salisbury Journal, where he covers a wide range of stories from breaking news and politics to community features and cultural events. He joined the Journal in October 2024 and is based in the heart of Salisbury. Tom studied History at the University of Birmingham before completing an MA in News Journalism at Cardiff University, one of the UK’s top postgraduate journalism programmes. Prior to joining the Journal, he worked across Newsquest’s titles in Somerset, including the Somerset County Gazette and Bridgwater Mercury, where he developed a strong foundation in local reporting and digital journalism. Known for his sharp news sense and clear, engaging writing, Tom is committed to telling the stories that matter most to the people of Salisbury and Wiltshire.
