A man who went on a stealing spree in Trowbridge in February stole goods worth more than £1,000.

Simon Parker, of no fixed abode in Trowbridge, stole cosmetics, Legos and joints of beef worth over £1,000 in February earlier this year.

On February 1, the 37-year-old stole cosmetics worth £600 from Boots in Trowbridge.

The following day, he went to Sainsbury in Trowbridge where he stole Lego items worth £338 pounds.

12 days later, on February 14, Parker stole joints of beef worth £74.82 from Sainsburys.

Parker faced South East Wiltshire Magistrates' court on 15 August, where he pleaded guilty to all charges.

He was prisoned for 6 months, since the offences were seen as serious, and because the offences were said to be aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending.

He is also made to pay back the £1,012.82 from the goods he stole. This is to be paid by 14 March 2023.

A collection order was also made in court.

No surcharges or orders for costs were made since compensation was ordered, and because it was said that the defendant had limited means.
