The Property

The Retreat is a substantial Grade II Listed home dating from 1790. It was extended in the mid 1800's and again in 2005 when the current kitchen was added. Of coursed limestone construction beneath a stone slate roof, it has been sympathetically restored by the current owners since they purchased in 2012. Twenty two new oak doors are fitted throughout together with quality sanitary ware. The half acre grounds have been much improved and include a section of the former Malmesbury railway tunnel, designed in 1872 by an apprentice engineer to Brunel.

The Accommodation
