A famous singer who has starred on Broadway will be performing in Malmesbury’s special concert on Saturday, July 2.    

Rebecca LaChance is an acclaimed American actress and has performed on stage across the world, including an appearance as Patty in School of Rock (West End), Anne Vaux in Treason (Cadogan Hall), and the lead role of Carole on the 1st US National tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.  

 Rebecca has also performed in cabaret venues in New York and London, so organisers in Malmesbury are looking forward to her bringing some excitement to the town.   

The concert is hosted by the popular Malmesbury Community Choir who will be joined by the Bath Welcome Chorus, a combined choir of over 100 voices.   

It is set to be a family affair, with the Malmesbury Choir conductor being Laurie Jones and the Welcome Chorus Choir being led by his father Grenville Jones.   

Laurie said: “It is going to be a very special evening and we are delighted that Rebecca is our guest. Both choirs have been rehearsing for the concert these past few weeks and I’m looking forward to sharing conducting duties with my father on the night.”
