EXPECT the unexpected in Frome next month, when iconic rocker Pete Doherty plays the Cheese and Grain on April 18 as part of a UK tour. Tickets have gone on sale this morning for the gig - the last time he played the town, with Babyshambles in 2004, they sold out at lightning speed.
Love him or hate him, Pete Doherty is one of the most talked about musicians of the past 20 years. The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman is also a solo artist in his own right as well as receiving praise from critics and fans alike for his painted artwork.
Pete has finally confirmed a comeback tour: recent sets have been career spanning but as always the 21st century musical badboy can be relied upon to deliver some surprises.
Support for the gig has still to be announced.
Tickets £22.50, age limit over 14s only: on sale today at www.artisttickets.com and from 9am tomorrow (Saturday) at www.cheeseandgrain.co.uk
