POLICE, paramedics and firefighters will be dashing to Hullavington Airfield this weekend for the tenth Emergency Services Show.

Wiltshire’s blue light services will come together for the show on Sunday just off junction 17 of the M4 from 10am until 4pm when there will be a display of wing walking, a multi-agency road traffic collision scene simulation, cooker fire demonstrations, an example of a bomb disposal and police dog displays.

There will also be four helicopters on display and an array of vintage emergency vehicles.

Those attending the show will have the chance to ride in a police car or fire engine, as well as take to the skies in one of the helicopters.

The Emergency Services Show is organised by volunteers from a number of organisations, including Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service, and the committee has recently become a registered charity in its own right.

Since it began ten years ago it has raised more than £115,000 for good causes.

Committee chairman Chris Harvey said: “We can promise the whole family a great day out."

Tickets can be bought in advance at www.emergencyservicesshow.com or on the gate, priced at £6.50 for adults, £3.50 for under 16s and under threes get in for free.

"Children will love the police car and fire engine rides, the wing walking display should be spectacular, and we have a wide range of exhibits, displays and traders, including many first-time visitors to the show. This is a unique opportunity to meet your emergency services in a non-emergency setting,” said Mr Harvey.
