BARGAIN Hunt star Thomas Plant helped promote a Trowbridge medical nutrition company’s antiques roadshow fundraiser last Friday.
Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, hosted the event, which included a cake sale, to raise funds for Carers UK as well as having items valued.
South West Wiltshire MP Andrew Murrison was also in attendance for the roadshow that took place from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Heléna Herklots, chief executive at Carers UK, said: “A huge thank you to everyone at Nutricia, and Thomas Plant from Bargain Hunt, for hosting such a delightful event to raise awareness about caring and also raise much-needed funds to enable Carers UK to continue providing vital support, advice and information to help improve the lives of carers.”
Cem Kucuckan, general manager Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition UK and Ireland, said: “Nutricia works in partnership with Carers UK and we were delighted to host a ‘different’ kind of fund raising event in support of Carers UK, this was the first time we did something quite so different and following the success of this we look forward to ideas coming forward for future events this year.
“All funds raised will go direct to Carers UK and it was great to see such excitement on the day and the amazing items that people bought in for valuation - some real hidden treasures.”
External Affairs Manager at Nutricia, Kate Hall, added: “It was an amazing event and created a real buzz around the office. Everyone come together at lunchtime to hear Thomas Plant’s antiques stories and do the famous ‘kick’ at the end.”
