THE Wiltshire Times’ Mother’s Day competition to win £100 worth of gift vouchers to spend at the Avonfield Gardens Centre was won by a Trowbridge mother.
Wendy Comley, of Southway, Trowbridge, nominated her mother-in-law, Ann Comley, 76, and came away with the award, in a random draw, thrilling both of them.
“We are both very pleased to win this.
"It is a wonderful garden centre, I will certainly be going more often from now on,” said the 52-year-old Mrs Comley.
“It is a very nice present for her.
"I was very surprised because I never usually win these sorts of things so it is a pleasant surprise."
“It is a shame she couldn’t come to collect the award but he is really looking forward to browsing this extremely pretty garden centre with her winnings.”
The centre opened in 2008, supplying a range of trees, shrubs, conifers, alpines as well as gardening products such as composts, fertilisers, seeds and garden sundries among others.
