Three men had to be cut free from the wreckage of a Volvo estate that crashed into  a tree at West Ashton Road Trowbridge on Friday night.

Fire crews from Trowbridge and Melksham were tasked to the incident  cutting off the doors and rolling the dashboard away to release the front passenger who was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

The driver and rear seat passenger were taken to Bath Royal United Hospital.

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance  landed in Trowbridge Park bringing paramedics  to deal with the injured, although they were each conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.

The road was closed for nearly two hours.
