CELEBRATIONS broke out at Westbury Infant School on Wednesday at the official unveiling of its new extension, which has been built to bring all eight classes under one roof.
Last year, three outdated mobile classrooms were demolished and three new classrooms were built at the school in Eden Vale Road and the children have now moved in.
Headteacher Stacey Budge said: “The place looks fantastic and we are really delighted and pleased with how it has turned out.
“The impact on the children has been huge. They love their new surroundings and it is great to be in a quality environment.
“To have all this latest equipment really helps with their learning and the teachers are very happy to be in such lovely surroundings. It makes our job easier for sure.”
The school, which was granted planning permission last February, also plans to build a ninth classroom but no date has yet been set.
