FRUITY delights were enjoyed by all at the annual Fitzmaurice Strawberry Fair in Bradford on Avon on Saturday which aimed to raise vital funds for the school.

Now in its 11th year, the much-loved occasion saw hundreds of families make their way to Fitzmaurice Primary for a whole host of free and fun activities from bouncy castles, inflatable slides, a strawberry splat as well as a penalty shootout.

A new feature to this year's event was a meerkat petting area for youngsters.

Corina Cordero, chair of the school's PTA, who organise the Strawberry Fair, said she was thrilled by the amount of people who supported the event which raises money for the school.

"It was an amazing day because the sun was shining and people were really happy," she added. "It gave me the chance to get to know the parents but also allow them to find out how the money we raise will be reinvested into the children's learning and education."

While the total figure raised hasn't been totalled up yet, it is expected that thousands will be donated to Fitzmaurice Primary.
