FURTHER to my recent letter on drinking water quality in Africa, I said I have been donating monthly for at least two years. Now we learn that 800 children a day are dying due to infected water.I am asking a number of questions - what is the political leadership of African countries doing? How much of our aid to needy counties is devoted to the problem? Has there been any increase in money devoted to the problem over two years, if not, why not?
I would say the fact that 800 children a day are dying due to drinking infected water in 2017 is probably the biggest disgrace existing in our time.
