REFERRING to the letter from G F White of Bradford on Avon (November 24). The people in the photos were I think employees of Samuel Salter of Home Mills, woollen cloth manufacturers and the decade is of the Great War period, but I cannot give an exact date.
The aerial photo is after 1931, it shows Home Mills with only four levels, not five.
After the fire which practically destroyed the building it was reconstructed with only four levels. The boiler pictured was installed in 1929 and taken out in 1974/5.

Former manager of Home Mills
1970 to 1982
