SECOND Division side Heytesbury reached this season's AM Print & Copy-sponsored A&B Cup final after a 5-3 victory at Division One leaders Freshford United set up a meeting with Melksham Town A.

Heytesbury were given the perfect start when Wayne Marchmont turned in a Jamie Howse cross on two minutes.

Alfie Little drew Freshford level in the 13th minute, but three minutes later the visitors regained the lead when Craig Sheppard’s cross was deflected in for 2-1.

Sheppard netted from a Bradley Edwards cross in the 22nd minute but Freshford reduced the arrears on 31 minutes through Nick Ross.

Minutes later Heytesbury regained their two-goal advantage when Sheppard completed his hat-trick as he scored from the penalty spot following a foul on Marchmont.

Heytesbury put the tie to bed on 58 minutes as an excellent cross field pass from Jamie Howse picked out Charlie Waylen who kept his calm to make it 5-2.

Percival netted a third for the hosts, but his effort from a Mark Gerrish assist was nothing more than a consolation as Heytesbury saw the game out to claim a shock but deserved win.
