SMALL businesses are eager to come to Westbury, where five units, totalling 24,300 square foot at the Woodlands Industrial Estate have recently been let.

The Paper Bag Company agreed a 10 year lease for Unit 6 and the terrace was refurbished to meet the business’ requirements for a service yard, ground and first floor offices.

Casa Furniture, originally based in Trowbridge, has agreed an 10 year lease for Unit 7. The unit was refurbished to include ground and first floor offices, LED lighting and an electric loading door.

Easy Jose Speciality Coffee, suppliers of organic coffee, have taken Unit 1A with a 10 year lease to make coffee in a green coffee roaster to reduce energy consumption and smoke emissions. Next door, Unit 1B has been let to engineering company Topdrill on a five year lease.

Finally, dance studio, Just So Dance has agreed a 10 year lease on Unit 11B. The move has allowed Just So to create three separate studios with reception area and changing facilities.

Alison Williams, associate partner in agents Carter Jonas who handled the leases, said: “For many businesses, getting the right location and accommodation can play a crucial role in its future success and Wiltshire is fortunate in that it has much to offer in both of these areas.

“Wiltshire’s position in central southern England, with direct links to London, Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff, and the Midlands is another big draw for businesses looking to locate here. Such strong occupier demand has driven investment into new developments as well as the good quality refurbishment of older units, meaning the region is catering to both fledgling businesses and more established operations.”
