A FOODBANK in Trowbridge will be able to help even more people after it moved into a new, larger home.
Storehouse Foodbank has moved from its old base in Church Street to its new surroundings in the Emmanuel Church Buildings, off of Union Street.
And thanks to the help of West Wiltshire Vineyard Church, Selwood Housing, Buildbase, Wheelers, Plumbcuts, KCM and Asda’s Community Champion Nicky Phillips for putting it all together, the foodbank officially opened on Tuesday.
Foodbank volunteer, Pam Telford, said: “This is such a wonderful new place to move into. I want to thank everyone who made this possible because we have been looking for a new home for a while.
“Hopefully we can help even more people now, because we have a big open space instead of several rooms that are more spaced out. This is a very exciting time for us.”
The foodbank was set up in 2010 and has been run by Chris Neighbour for the last six years.
It will be open from Tuesday to Friday from 10am-12.45pm.
