AROUND 200 people slapped on the sun screen and took part in the Dilton Dash annual fun run recently.
The race, which was organised by Redfish Events, had a 3k and 10k route and was open to both adults and children of all abilities.
A total of £604 from sponsorship was donated to the village’s Holy Trinity Church.
Tracey Hyde, from Redfish Events, said: “It was a really great day, around 30 who took part were running their first 10k race, and they did very well is the Dilton Dash isn’t the easiest of races.
“It was very hot, which also made it a lot harder. We made sure people were resting in the shade to cool down after the race, and we had water points around the routes.
“We would like to thank our marshals, friends and family and everyone who supported the event.”
Runners for the next run, the Bowerhill Bomber on July 22, can now enter online at www.entrycentral.com/festival/1408
