SOLDIERS from the 1 Yorkshire Regiment in Warminster took time out of their busy schedule to pay a visit to the residents at Henford House Care Home in the town, as part of a scheme to integrate the military population with the local community.
The soldiers dropped in to meet the residents when they were taking part in an arts and crafts session.
Many of them were so thrilled to see the men in uniform they gave them a salute.
The visitors were then given a tour of the care home before spending more time with its residents.
Cpl Andy Dunt said: “We have good communications here at Henford and have been involved with the home since 2015, attending Remembrance services, Valentine’s Day and having lunch with the residents.”
General manager Vivian Laurent said: “It was lovely. The residents were delighted that they were able to visit us and would welcome them to come again.”
