FIRLAWN Nursing Home in Holt has been hit with an inadequate rating by the Care Quality Commission.
Inspectors wrote in their report on the care home, in The Street, that it scored inadequate for providing a safe service, a caring service and a well-led service.
They added that the effectiveness and responsiveness of the service they provided to the 27 patients, when the inspection was made on May 1 and 2, required improvement.
In future the care home was told to meet individual needs better and to involve patients in decisions about the care they received.
Director Chad Doveton said: “We have successfully taken our care home at Hill House near Malmesbury out of special measures and we will apply the same techniques to do the same with Firlawn.
“We are excited about our future and we know we can turn it around. We have been improving the way we have been operating recently.”
