A PARAMEDIC has been injured in a crash while on his way to an emergency call this afternoon.
The paramedic was driving a white Volvo estate, part of the Great Western Ambulance Service's fleet of vehicles, when it collided with a grey Kia at about 2.30pm.
The accident happened at the junction of Winsley Road and Budbury Tynings.
The paramedic was taken to Bath's Royal United Hospital by ambulance, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
The female driver of the Kia was not injured.
Police closed the road so the vehicles could be recovered but a spokesman said it would be re-opening soon.
A fire and rescue service crew from Bradford on Avon attended to make the vehicles and safe and clear the scene.
