THE Wingfield care home in Trowbridge has celebrated its new-look refurbishment by staging a community open day.

General manager Gail Stone says its marks the start of a new era following significant investment to the home.

Visitors were welcomed to view the home’s stylish new interior and take a tour of the home at the open day this month.

Councillor Dennis Drewett, the Mayor of Trowbridge, cut the official ribbon unveiling the new look, followed by live entertainment in the garden.

The home’s hospitality team provided a complimentary three-course buffet-style French-themed lunch to celebrate the date with the open day taking place on Bastille Day.

Ms Stone said: “The home is looking better than ever after the recent investment and it was a pleasure to showcase the elegant new interior at the open day.

“My door is always open and anyone who couldn’t make the open day is very welcome to drop by for a cup of tea any other day instead.”

The Wingfield care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals.

The Wingfield provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care for 83 residents from respite care to long-term stays.
