WILTSHIRE completed their first Unicorns Championship Western Division victory for more than a year as they wrapped up a three-wicket triumph over Wales today.

The county side resumed their second innings 212-5, chasing a target of 265 for success at Pontarddulais CC, and knocked off the 53 runs required for the loss of only two more wickets.

Wiltshire, whose last Championship win came at home to Dorset at Corsham last June, had been well set up by 86 from 64 balls by opener Jack Haines yesterday afternoon, with Bradley Dawson and player-coach Tom Morton at the crease when play resumed this morning.

Dawson was bowled by Majied IIyas for 15 but Tahir Afridi came in at number eight and scored 34 from 51 balls before being caught by Cameron Herring off the bowling of Thomas Bevan.

Morton though was unbeaten on 25 with Luke Evans alongside him on four not out as Wiltshire reached the target in the 62nd over.
