KEY roads in Trowbridge will be shut on Saturday and Sunday so Wessex Water can repair a mains leak.

One lane on Stallard Street will close, from its junction with the roundabout before the train station down over the Town Bridge to the junction with Hill Street.

Drivers will still be able to come down Wicker Hill, over the Town Bridge and up Stallard Street heading towards Holy Trinity Church roundabout.

Hill Street will then be closed up to its junction with Back Street, as will Shails Lane up to its junction with Riverway.

Back Street, which runs between Hill Street and The Conigre, will also be closed.

On both days, the one-way order on Back Street and Broad Street will be suspended to let people get to their homes.

Traffic needing to reach Riverway to get to businesses or homes will be allowed to use the one-way portion of Shails Lane from Broad Street to do so while the bottom section of Shails Lane is closed.

Traffic signs will highlight the closure, and the work is due to be completed in time for traffic to return to normal by Monday.
