WROUGHTON took over at the top of the Wiltshire Senior League Premier Division as they maintained their unbeaten record while previous pole-sitters Shrewton United lost.

The villagers were pushed all the way by Pewsey Vale Development at the Weir Field before wrapping up the 4-2 triumph that took them top of the pile.

Goals from Aaron Maximen in the first 20 minutes twice put Wroughton ahead but they were pegged back each time as Joe Gentlemen and Corey Cullen found the net for Pewsey.

Twenty minuets from time Jordan Lea fired Wroughton in front and his second secured the points for the home side.

Shrewton were toppled as Tom Mahoney's strike wrapped up a 2-1 success for champions Kintbury Rangers, Shaun Thorp also notching for Kintbury.

Westbury United Reserves jumped four places as they wrapped up a 4-0 win at Marlborough Town, George Bendle claiming a hat-trick and Brad Hill completing the comfortable triumph.

Ludgershall Sports' clash with Cricklade Town ended 1-1, an own goal giving Sports the lead before Tom Hoskins restored parity for Cricklade and it was the same score at Trowbridge Town, who hosted Football ID.

Josh Hard netted for Town, with Zak Mitchell responding for the Stanley Park side.

Purton recorded their third straight win, 3-0 win at Devizes Town Reserves, Chris Avery with a double and Gianluca Costabile also on target.
