Denise O’Leary, who runs Chippenham-based Purpol Marketing, is a guest speaker at one of the UK’s largest events for the construction industry next week (Oct 10).

The founder of the company which was named South West Business of the Year 2018 recently will be sharing with delegates her expertise on winning bids in the construction sector.

She said: “It’s a privilege to be speaking at this prestigious event for the second year. I hope my company’s success in helping others to tender and win bids will inspire others to be more proactive in securing bigger contracts.”

UK Construction Week takes place at the NEC in Birmingham between Tuesday October 9 and Thursday October 11 and is the UK’s largest build environment event.

Thousands of delegates will attend the three-day event and will hear from experts from across the construction sector on subjects ranging from mental health of construction workers to lessons to be learned from Grenfell.

Denise will share knowledge on Wednesday October 10 at 3pm in Hall 11. She will focus on how businesses can realise their potential and win critical bids. Her presentation will focus on three key points:

*the attributes of consistently successful bids.

*how your team can recover from a lost bid.

*golden rules to deliver repeatable bid success.

Denise said: “I’ll also provide hints on where to look for opportunities and an overview of alternative procurement processes, allowing teams to focus on the strengths of their business.”

The team at Purpol brings more than 30 years’ of experience and insight to their clients and has grown from Denise’s self-funded start up to a successful small business.

“We are proof you do not need to be a huge company to achieve success in any sector,” Denise said.
