WROUGHTON returned to the top of the Wiltshire Senior League Premier Division as they inflicted a third straight defeat on Shrewton United on Saturday.

United grabbed the lead in the opening moments when Jake Watson netted but Wroughton, the only side still boasting an unbeaten record in the division, restored parity through Tom Price.

Ben Jenks got Shrewton back in front but Wroughton were level for a second time as Shane Hibbert scored.

In the second half, Wroughton made the decisive move as Price bagged his second to seal the three points, ahead of their midweek trip to Malmesbury Victoria Development.

Reigning champions Kintbury Rangers are two points back after they downed Football ID 4-2.

Charlie Allsop and Fabio Pinto scored to put Rangers in the ascendancy and Shaun Thorp and Kye Williams doubled the advantage in the second half before Edidiong Essien scored twice to reduce arrears for the Chippenham side.

Westbury United Reserves kept pace with the lead sides as they put Ludgershall Sports to the sword 4-0.

Rhys Talmarsh scored a double, while George Bendle scored his seventh goal of the season and Nathan Flower also found the net.

Cricklade Town wrapped up victory against winless Malmesbury Victoria Development, their 3-1 success coming courtesy of goals from Devan Bryan, Elliott Corp and Tom McCulloch.

Brett Gardiner found the net for Malmesbury.

Purton are seventh after a 2-0 win at Pewsey Vale Development, Jack Duckers and Callum Little scoring in each half, while Corsham Town Reserves were held to a goalless draw by Marlborough Town.

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development wrapped up their second win of the season as they saw off Devizes Town Reserves 5-2.

Josh Bolton scored twice for the winners, while Tyrhys Misfud, Nick Mason and Jack Sanderson completed their tally.

Angus Webster and Richard Tandy scored late on for Devizes.
