17 members of the Royal Air Forces Association Trowbridge & West Wiltshire Branch visited RAF Hendon Museum on October 3.

The museum has undergone extensive improvements this year that include the RAF 100 display which tells the story from when the RAF was formed with the amalgamation of the The Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service in 1918.

The displays at the museum are set out in six large themed hangars.

"We all had a most enjoyable and memorable day with the added bonus of excellent weather," said Phil Lobb, who organised the trip.

New branch members are always welcome to come along to one of the meetings which are held on the third Tuesday of each month at Lovemead House Trowbridge.
