WARMINSTER'S Athenaeum Masqueraders are set to bring the town alight with their latest production, a fabulous feelgood musical about friendship and female empowerment.

The cast are finalising the performances of 9-5, which they describe as a hilarious musical adaption of the hit film, with an upbeat score by the legendary Dolly Parton. 9-5 follows Violet, Doralee and Judy as they form an unlikely friendship and partnership, to live out their fantasy and take control of the office and achieve the ultimate revenge by giving their sexist and egotistical boss the boot.

Because of the musical's powerful theme, in the year which marks the centenary of some women gaining the vote the Masqueraders are pleased to support The Fawcett Society as their chosen charity. The Fawcett Society is the UK’s leading

charity fighting for gender equality and women’s rights. The Fawcett Society want to close the gender pay gap, secure equal power for women, challenge attitudes and defend women’s rights.

Performances at the Athenaeum on the High Street are on Thursday, October 25 and Friday October 26, both at 7.30pm and on Saturday October 27 at 8.30pm.

Tickets for the show can be purchased from the Athenaeum Centre direct, via their box office on 01985 213891 or online at www.theath.org
