The pedestrian who was killed in a collision involving a lorry yesterday afternoon was a man in his 80’s from Trowbridge.

At 2.20pm yesterday (October 26) officers were called to the collision on Seymour Road.

A local man in his 80’s died at the scene and the male driver of the lorry was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.

The family of the man have been notified.

PC Tom Wilson said:"We are appealing for witnesses to this tragic collision which took place in a residential area.  If you heard or saw anything in relation to this incident - perhaps you have dashcam footage if you were travelling along this road or CCTV on your home - please come forward."
