THE two men who were killed in a fatal collision near Westbury last night (October 28) were driving a black Ford Mondeo, and thier families have now been informed.

Police have revealed the pair were driving in the hatchbback Mondeo when the collision involving a lorry happened at 4.10pm near to Coach Road on the A350 between Yarnbrook and Westbury.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the two male occupants of the Mondeo were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have now contact the families of the victims and say their thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

The driver of the HGV, a white Man TGX lorry, was not injured.

The scene has been passed to the local authority, who will be co-ordinating clearing and cleaning the road ready for reopening.

A police spokesman said: "Did you see either vehicle near the crash location around the time of the collision Were you driving in the area and may have dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries?

"We want to speak to anyone who might have information and would urge them to call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting Log 249 of yesterday. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
