A TROWBRIDGE care home is the latest to back a Denim4Dementia campaign to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Support.

Staff, residents and relatives at Trowbridge Oaks in West Ashton Road were invited to wear denim for the day and donate to the local charity.

Anita Shulz, manager of the 52-bedroomed care home, said: “It went really well. About 15 staff and five residents took part, as well as some of the relatives, and our regional director Elissa Bevan.

“We hope to raise around £200. It’s difficult to say as there’s still money coming in.”

The campaign aims to raise funds for people in Wiltshire who are living with dementia.

Every penny raised will go to fund much-needed community groups for people living with dementia in Wiltshire.

Alzheimer’s Support’s Stephany Bardzil said: “We have been so pleased by the response to the campaign as many groups and businesses are getting behind the idea.
