THE award-winning Bradfordians return to the stage with a six-foot high rabbit called Harvey for their next production, which opens on Thursday.
The Bradfordians’ Dramatic Society are performing the hilarious comedy Harvey by the American playwright Mary Chase, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her play in 1945.
Harvey has been adapted for film and television several times, most notably for the 1950 film starring James Stewart.
Bradfordians spokesman Andrew Morrison said: “The play is very popular because of the brilliant 1950 movie version.
“It tells the tale of Elwood Dowd and his best friend, a six-foot one-and-a-half rabbit called Harvey.”
The production runs from Thursday to Saturday, November 15-17 from 7.30pm at St Margaret’s Hall. Tickets at £12 (£10 concessions) are available from the Wiltshire Music Centre at www.wiltshiremusic.org.uk
