A WARMINSTER dad has won the title of Europe's strongest man after coming first in his weight category in the competition in Northern Ireland.
Lee Osment, 33 of St Andrew's Road was delighted to be given his title after months of training.
He said: “It’s brilliant to have won Europe’s strongest man in the under 90kgs, it’s something I have been working up to. My had work has paid off.
“Next up for me is the Worlds Strongest man competition in North Carolina in December, which I am starting training for this week.
“I train four times a week for two hours a time, following a programme which is set by my coach."
Mr Osment had to miss out on the Briain's strongest man competition when his baby girl Lola Mai was born the day before.
“It is very hectic trying to fit in training with a new baby. My wife, Louise has been a great support and I wouldn’t be here without her.”
