A WILTSHIRE beer company has developed a special brew to promote awareness of men’s health.

Holt-based Box Steam Brewery has partnered with the Punch national pub group to promote Movember where men grow moustaches for a month to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer UK. The family-run regional brewer has agreed the supply of a November guest beer to 1,300 pubs run by Punch.

Every pint of Handlebar, a copper-coloured bitter brewed with New Zealand hops, will include a 5p donation from the Wiltshire brewery.

A full-bodied 3.4 per cent ABV copper-coloured bitter, Box Steam’s charitable pint is brewed with New Zealand Motueka hops, which add a lemon and lime twist to the beer’s clean and refreshing taste.

Tom Downes, the Box Steam brewer, said: “We hope the arrival of this zesty Handlebar beer and its striking bar pump clip will encourage plenty of healthy donations.

“This partnership with Punch provides a really positive

opportunity to raise vital awareness and cash for this great charity.”

Box Steam Brewery’s charitable cask ale follows the brewery’s first supply of rotation beer to the pub group in July this year.

Box Steam has become established for producing steam infused varieties of cask, keg and bottled beers.
