DRIVERS concerned about congestion as a result of Bradford Road closing for three weeks may not need to worry as Wiltshire Council say the closure signs were put in the wrong place.
Signs placed on Bradford Road in Trowbridge say it will be closed from Monday (November 26) as Wessex Water install new pipes.
However, Wessex Water have confirmed this work is taking place, but will only take a maximum of two days.
A spokesman for Wessex Water said: "We’ll be installing a new connection from Monday 26 November, planned work which is scheduled to last a maximum of two days.
"There will be temporary traffic lights near the junction with Innox Road and we apologise for any disruption caused."
The signs which say the road will be closed for three weeks were supposed to be placed on Pound Lane in Semington, according to Wiltshire Council.
