A RIDING for the Disabled group at Bradford on Avon is facing closure unless it can recruit a new group organiser.
Steve Ashton, whose son Darren attends the Saxon Group at Widbrook, says the centre also needs more volunteers to survive.
He said: “We need more volunteers, as we have a large waiting list, and not enough volunteers.
“We do have enough horses but some of our volunteers are becoming a little older.
“We also have a vacancy for a group organiser which has come about for personal/ health reasons.
“If we cannot fill this post we will have to close as it’s a legal requirement as a charity.”
Mr Ashton’s son Darren won the national RDA Rider of the Year Award last year and now hopes to gain a place in the British paralympic team.
