A TEENAGER who is accused of stabbing a man in a car park in Calne is to face trial by judge and jury.
Joseph Browne pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
The 18-year-old is said to have assaulted Cameron Tait, 21, on the evening of November 12.
Judge Robert Pawson remanded Browne, of Braemor Road, Calne, in custody and set the trial date for May 7 next year.
Police were called to the car park of the Bremhill View Social Club at about 6.45pm on November 12 following reports of an incident.
A man was found to have suffered serious stab wounds and was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol in a critical condition, where he is understood to have undergone surgery.
