A GROUP of artistic pupils at Bitham Brook Primary School in Westbury have earned themselves early Christmas presents after winning David Wilson Homes’ festive competition.

The housebuilder, which is working on its Mill Brook development nearby, ran a competition for local children to design its Christmas card for this year.

Scores of pupils at the school picked up their pens, pencils and crayons in a bid to win the prizes up for grabs and this week staff from David Wilson Homes made a surprise visit to present the winners with their WH Smith voucher prizes.

The winner, Grace was very happy with her prize, as was runner up Archie.

Louise Ware, sales director at David Wilson Homes, said: “We had so many fantastic entries, it was very hard to choose a winner. It’s testament to the talent of these artistic pupils and the great guidance they get from their teachers. We can’t wait to show the winning artwork to all of our contacts.”

Head teacher David Ross said: “The children had so much fun getting creative and coming up with their Christmas designs.

"It certainly helped them, and us, get into the festive spirit.

"Everyone has had great fun taking part and now looks forward to Christmas."

David Wilson Homes is currently building a range of three and four bedroom homes at its Mill Brook development in Westbury. To find out more visit www.dwh.co.uk
