A DRIVER who was injured in a fatal crash on the A36 near Warminster last week has died in hospital.

The 62-year-old man from the Bath area, who was driving a Porsche Cayenne, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, last Tuesday.

A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: "Sadly, his injuries were so severe that he died yesterday evening.

"His family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."

He is the third to die following the collision close to Black Dog Hill - Frome College teacher Anna Kirsopp-Lewis, 34, and her unborn baby boy died at the accident scene.

The two-vehicle collision happened at around 1.06pm on 18 December, and involved a black Porsche Cayenne and a grey Peugeot, which were both travelling towards Bath.

The Peugeot driver, Mrs Kirsopp-Lewis, who was pregnant and from the Warminster area, sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Tragically, her unborn baby boy also died as a result of the collision.
