CORSHAM Town Council has awarded the Pound Arts Trust £5000 towards the renovation of the Pound Arts Centre in its latest grant funding round.
The money will be used towards the match-funding required by Arts Council England to help release their promised investment in the key works planned.
Corsham Badminton Club receives £500 to help fund its new Youth Badminton Club, the Last Baguette Theatre Company gets £450 to support performances and workshops for a new ecological adventure family production, The Bird Show, Revitalise Respite Holidays receives £354 towards a respite break for a disabled person from Corsham, and Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (Wessex) Ltd was awarded £250.
The grants are given to groups that provide a service, promote Corsham in a positive way and enhance the quality of life for those that live, visit or work in the town.
