HAVING a health MOT is a pretty good idea especially just after Christmas when some of us may have over indulged.

On Wednesday, January 9, the staff at Henford House care home in Warminster opened their doors to the public to offer a free health check session.

The session gave everyone the opportunity to have their blood pressure taken and be given valuable advice from Christine Kay and Beverley Salter who are health trainers from Wiltshire Council.

Sensible advice included how to keep a healthy blood pressure, calorie intake and in general how to keep healthy by eating a healthy diet.

General manager Karen Sawyer said: “It was a really valuable session for myself and everyone at Henford to understand the benefits of keeping ourselves healthy and understanding what blood pressure means in terms of individual health needs”.

Henford House care home is run by Barchester Healthcare.
