A SCULPTOR in Bradford on Avon is among 52 artists who have been chosen to create new on-screen idents for ITV.
Patricia Volk, 67, was selected from literally hundreds to create the new idents, which are shown between ITV programmes.
Mrs Volk, of Coppice Hill, Bradford on Avon, said: “I’m very proud. It’s a terrific honour to be be selected.”
The sculptor, who hails from Belfast, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Sculptors, and designs at her studio at Stowford Manor Farm at Wingfield.
She was commissioned to do the ident in November after being told she was one of the first nine artists to be selected
Her work will be shown on ITV between Monday and January 27.
Mrs Volk describes her work as “modern and contemporary” and says she has been influenced by 1970s American ceramics.
She added: “It’s brilliant that ITV is doing this. It’s so difficult to get your work exhibited in this country. It’s very competitive.”
