POLICE have said it was incredible nobody else was injured after a high-speed crash ended in a couple's front garden.

Bernard Sindano, of Walthamstow, East London, was arrested after the high-speed crash into the front garden of a house in Highworth in December.

He drove up to 90mph down narrow roads through Highworth, as well as driving on the wrong side of a roundabout.

He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and with a false number plate at Swindon Crown Court and was jailed for a year.

PC Nick Finning said: “I am pleased that Sindano has been jailed for 12 months and banned from our roads for three years – his driving was completely reckless and he gave absolutely no regard for anyone else’s safety when he took to the wheel back on December 20.

"Not only did he drive at excess speed, he also took the roundabout into Highworth the wrong way – it is incredible that nobody was injured as a result of his mindless actions.”
